Terms of Service

1. The service

VidoSave (the "Service") is a Chrome extension that finds video files on ordinary web pages you are viewing and lets you save them inside your own browser. Video files never pass through the operator's servers.

2. Permitted use

The Service is a tool for saving content that you own or have a lawful right to use or download. You must comply with copyright, licenses, the terms of service of each website, and applicable laws.

3. Prohibited use

You may not copy or distribute protected content without the rights holder's permission, use the Service for any infringing purpose, or modify the Service to bypass its limits (such as the cooldown). Violations may result in suspension.

4. Technological protection measures

The Service provides no function that circumvents DRM, access controls, paywalls or other technological protection measures, and it does not work with such content or with certain video/music streaming services.

5. Account

No sign-up or sign-in is required. The free-download cooldown and subscription status are tied to a random device identifier created by the extension. PRO subscribers can use PRO on other devices (up to 3 per account) through a sign-in link sent to the email entered at checkout.

6. Free use and PRO subscription

FREE users can start one download, then must wait 2 hours for the next free download. A PRO subscription (renews monthly) removes this wait. Payments and receipts are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record.

• You can cancel at any time; PRO stays active until the end of the paid period, then switches to FREE.
• You may request a full refund within 7 days of payment if you have not used PRO features. Other refunds follow applicable law.
• Price increases are announced at least 30 days in advance and require your consent. Renewal reminders are sent by the payment provider.

7. Changes

The operator may change features or restrict operation on some websites for technical or legal reasons. If a paid feature is discontinued, the remaining period will be refunded.

8. Liability

You are responsible for how you use content saved with the Service. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect damages, except for damages caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• A hash of a random device identifier (created by the extension and kept in Chrome sync storage; the server stores only the hash)
• Your email address (if you enter it at checkout or request a sign-in link, to link your subscription and send sign-in links)
• Your plan (FREE/PRO), last free download time and next free download time
• Download start records: time, plan and type (file/stream) — to manage the cooldown and prevent abuse
• When you accepted the copyright notice and its version
• (Stored only in your browser) Your settings such as quality and theme — kept in Chrome sync storage and never sent to our servers
• Subscription details from the payment provider: subscription ID, status, renewal/end dates (we never receive card numbers)

2. What we do not collect

To find videos, the extension looks at the addresses and types of files that web pages load, inside your browser. This information stays in your browser only temporarily (cleared when you close the tab or leave the page) and is never sent to our servers. We do not send or store the pages you visit, video addresses or contents, or your browsing history. Video detection and saving happen entirely in your browser. We do not fingerprint devices or track users by IP address. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically process basic connection data such as IP addresses for a short period for security and reliability.

Every few hours the extension downloads the list of unsupported websites (domain names only), for example sites removed after a copyright report. This request contains no device identifier, browsing history or other user data.

3. Service providers

• Resend: sending sign-in link emails
• Cloudflare: server and database hosting
• Lemon Squeezy: payments and subscriptions (as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy)

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

4. Retention

Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it; download start records are deleted after at most 12 months. Payment records may be kept as required by law.

5. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion at barttools.contact@gmail.com. You can sign out in the extension at any time.

6. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Our handling of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

VidoSave respects the rights of copyright holders. The Service does not store or host any video and is provided only for saving content that users are entitled to save.

How to submit a request

If you believe your content is being saved through the Service in an infringing way, email barttools.contact@gmail.com with:

• Your name (or your agent's) and contact details
• A description of the protected work
• The website (domain) where the content is published
• A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them

What we do

After reviewing your request we take appropriate action, such as adding the website (domain) to the Service's block list so the Service no longer works there (the block list reaches all users without an extension update), and we reply with the outcome. Users who repeatedly infringe rights through the Service may be suspended.
